This topic is supposed to summarize, and list everything that we know is available int he game, I have done extensive research through interviews, forums, and other sources for these facts. This topic will update weekly with new information (If there is any new information of course.) Other forum lurkers are encouraged to post new information here in case we forget to add it.

Faction & Alignment:

Yes, Player vs. Player combat will play a big role in Black Prophecy. You will be able to engage other players in different kinds of PvP missions and battlegrounds. The skill system is quite similar to commonly used systems. You receive experience points by performing specific actions, e.g. killing NPCs or accomplishing missions, and level up within the maximum level range. If yes, what purpose do they serve? Yes, clans will be able to purchase a clan station as their base of operations. Such a clan station will offer several functions: beginning with a ship dock where members can modify their ships, a shared depot with access right management, living quarters that define the member capacity of a clan and many more. The larger the living quarters are, the more members can join the clan. These functions can be increased by using better or bigger module versions. Some modules are only available to clans who have reached a specific clan level.

*Confirmed Clan vs. Clan PvP. (It has been noted that Clan vs. Clan PvP will be over resource hot spots).

Yes, there will be three different kinds of resources which serve different purposes. First of all they are needed to modify items such as ship parts or weapons. Resources are also a kind of tax for the factions. A part of the resources gained by clans have to be handed over to their faction. These resources will be used in big PvP faction battles and define how often the faction member can respawn during the fight. Furthermore clans have to invest resources to fight other clans. This also defines how often the clan members can respawn at their base within the combat area.)

*Black Prophecy will have a different form of crafting, involving the ability to create ship modifications and parts with harvested resources. - http://blackprophecy.com/index.php?id=67 (What will my player character look like? In Black Prophecy, the ship represents the actual player character, which can be assembled with numerous different ship parts and weapons. It's quite similar to how you would equip your character with body armor in an MMO with 3D player avatars. In addition to this, you will also have a 3D avatar of your pilot which is fully customizable and will appear in dialogues with NPCs or in conversations with other players.)

Ship Construction/Modification:

It's true that we will earn money from the sale of virtual items in BLACK PROPHECY (as opposed to through subscription fees, selling the game in stores, or through advertisement). Besides the obvious advantages (you get to play an online game and can see its quality with your own eyes without making any sort of financial commitment), the motto here is "time is money". We're taking a lot of care to make sure that you play as long as you want to WITHOUT spending any money. That means that you have access all game content, can complete every mission and conquer every player if you invest enough time to level your character up and collect or upgrade all the items needed. This is the case with a number of our other games, because, unlike at other game companies, you've often find players at the top of the rankings that haven't spent any money to get there. Exactly how this will work is still in design, but players that buy items will not gain an advantage, they will just save time. This is especially designed with players in mind that work during the day and therefore don't have time to play for hours each day but would still like to be able to keep up with their friends or their clan.)

The virtual universe is now open to a select crew of daring pilots looking to join the Genide or Tyi factions.

In the past few weeks, the Reakktor team has been working very hard to get “Black Prophecy” ready go to into beta testing. The focus during the first phase of testing will be on server and program stability. For that reason, only a small group of about 100 players will have access to the game server. More fighter pilots will be recruited in time.
