Breaking off the rust in photoshop
Well with BP coming up and me actually using forums again, decided its time to spray the wd40 onto my photoshop and see if I couldn't get the gears turning,
Please keep in mind its been 4 years since I've done any PS work so the usual comments, advice would be nice.
(This is me getting into the stockade willingly, please let me out when the tomato throwing ends.)
Resources used:
Planet - From Black Prophecy art direction dev blog.
Fighter used - from BP's post about modular ship building
Credit to them ^^
Everything else made via tools in photoshop.
Still not sure how that fighter lost its blue tint wasn't anything I did just lost it during copy/paste >_>

Looks good Zenton. ^^
I believe they left some water marks on all their images, so that is why some things will become distorted when pasted onto their images - including your ship.
Either way I didn't notice it until you pointed it out.

Yea I wasn't too upset with it kinda enjoy it as it sleep black hull rather than a strange blue tinted hull against a white sun wouldn't have made much sense anyway.

Ahh yea I broke them did some album moving and forgot to change the links, (I'ma newb)
And I won't go into the amount of times I've tried to learn how to do planets, star scapes etc in photo-shop never turns out right for me and I get frustrated and quit. I may take another wack at a planet tonight see what I can come up with, forewarning we're boarding the fail boat as of this moment. And if we get really into the thick of it maybe I'll try to make a Homeworld Quality render in Blender since anything more than that is beyond me for now.

Oh yea, I get that feeling sometimes when I see this totally awesome tutorial on online, try reading it, and notice my work doesn't look like what the person in the tutorial shows. Then i'm like *facepalm*.

I don't use his planet methods
http://gallery.artofgregmartin.com/tuts_arts/making_a_star_field.html
on the other hand if I could get this to work right in CS5 >.> I would be a happy camper.

Photoshop Planet
lol can't post the image itself way to big, and its only 20% of its original size >.> ... my texture maps .png form are 11mb/12mb respectively heh. 3000x3000 images ftw?
