Key info from the review is:
The group size has changed, now allowing up to ten players in a single group.
The most captivating part of the station was its clan missions. These missions will allow a clan to join together for what can only be described as an epic battle. Battleships will be deployed, which will have several wings. These wings can then be assigned different roles. For example, one wing will be charged with defense of the battleship while another wing will be on patrol duty, engaging dogfights with patrolling enemies. Heavy fighters could be sent in to attack the opposing battleship. Clan missions are designed to be intense and strategic and will require good team coordination to accomplish.
In addition, the item shop will contain some visual-only modifications for player ships. The options are many, so the look of player ships will vary greatly.
There is currently no death penalty in the game. Downed players will simply respawn near their death point. Discussions are in place about whether or not to include a penalty.
The next wave of beta testers will be invited in late September with open beta scheduled for November and the game will be available in German and English at launch. Servers will be available in both North America and in Europe to ensure good ping times for players.

I sure hope there is a penalty for downed ships, or at least a respawn at a station and not right where you got shot down.
It IS still in development, and will probably be changed by launch.

Well we KNOW for a fact that your mods can get blown off, so I can only guess what a full death would be like...

If they make it so that each ship can only hold so much gas, metal and plasma that on death, they would lose a fraction of each resource (maybe 1/4? 1/5?).
That way if a clan had to get a lot of resources from a sector (an event or something), they would have lightly armed ships with little to no weapons to act as cargo ships to reap the gas and metal and plasma.
The other clan members could act as escorts. Other people would want to kill the ships cause they might get the resources lost by the ship shot down.

Ok so they changed to the group mission size to 10 at-least that's how I read it.
No death makes sense for this style of game. Can't very well have kiddies emo raging and leaving because they just lost that l33t mod they spent days crafting for and having been incessantly bragging about ever since .
Well an ob in November >.> <.< I'd think if they were to release that information they'd also release it to the fan base... but w/e so I'm not going to put too much faith in it, but it does fit the time zone.
